Dear friends and family,

Today we share with you our 2010 Annual Report – we hope you’ll take a moment to read about the wonderful progress Nyaya and our partners have made this year in Achham, in the rural and impoverished west of Nepal.

Nyaya began five years ago, compelled by the simple idea that even the most marginalized of people deserve basic health care. When Nyaya started, there were no doctors in the region, but as we welcome 2011, over 50,000 people have now received free medical care thanks to your support.

2010 was a year filled with new challenges and many inspiring successes. Nyaya now hosts the only free x-ray services in the region, opened a new HIV/AIDS treatment facility, began an ambulance service, and developed an innovative community health worker program in the communities surrounding Bayalpata Hospital. We look forward to 2011 with great ambition: there are still immense challenges to overcome, but we are confident that this new year will bring further progress.

Thank you for your support; we look forward to continuing our journey with the people of Achham, and working with each of you to make that journey possible.

With deep appreciation and best wishes for 2011 –

Ryan Schwarz
Director of Operations
